Background

PrePass is a SaaS platform used by trucking fleets and government partners to enable weigh station bypass, toll payments, and safety data insights. As competition increased and industry demands shifted toward data and automation, the company needed to evolve how it communicated its broader capabilities.

The Problem

PrePass had strong name recognition, but it was narrowly associated with weigh station bypass. The company had since expanded into data-enabled safety tools and tolling solutions, but these advancements were not widely understood in the market. 


While PrePass was active in industry associations and events, it lacked a content marketing program to consistently amplify its message, share insights, or reinforce its leadership in the trucking industry.

The Solution

I built the company’s first content marketing function and strategy, focused on positioning PrePass as a knowledge authority in fleet safety and compliance. We developed a content engine that included blogs, product videos, whitepapers, webinars, and a structured editorial calendar. 


I launched Eyes on the Road, a branded podcast that reached an average of 875 listeners per episode in its first year. Our team also expanded PrePass’s presence on social media, paired content to the customer journey, and established clear brand voice and messaging pillars.

The Results

Content views grew from under 40,000 to over 1.2 million annually. Social engagement rose 69%, with over 531,000 interactions and a follower base of 41,000. The podcast and content library helped reposition the brand as a trusted source of industry knowledge. Content-generated downloads added more than 4,300 marketable records, and web traffic increased 37%, much of it driven by organic and social engagement. PrePass shifted from a known product name to a recognized industry thought leader.
